Artist's Biography, Art Greene, My interest in photography as more than a method of recording personal family memories began in the late 1990’s. My career in moved my wife and I from my hometown of Augusta, Georgia to Savannah in 1998. The landscapes, architecture and wildlife of the coastal area were an inspiration that provided a special feeling of excitement when I captured them through my lens. Annual trips to National Parks and wildlife areas have provided further impetus for my expanding love for photography. an inspiration that provided a special feeling of excitement when I captured them through my lens. In Savannah, the Landings Art Association and local galleries provided numerous opportunities for me to display my images for public viewing and sale. I am encouraged to experiment with different venues and to broaden my exposure in hopes that I can provide enjoyment to those who view these images. My retirement has provided a welcomed opportunity to relocate to western North Carolina. The scenery in and around Asheville with its mountain views and landscapes, not to mention the seasonal changes, will surely add other dimensions to my portfolio. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have enjoyed gathering them.
